Pistol NZ Fee's
« on: 18 April, 2009, 05:49:16 pm »
Out of our membership a big amount goes to Pistol NZ. They do not have to run ranges and charge me when I need them ie holster course. So what does the money go to?
Is it dead yet?

There is a draft budget for the next year here  http://www.pistolnz.org.nz/pdf/sgm09/Budget-A.pdf

In the current budget the figures are similar, but a lot goes to the Bullshooter -- from memory the single largest expense.   I can try and find a current budget if that would help.    The bulk of the remainder is admin expenses.   The problem is that we can't do without a national organisation.  Keep in mind that a lot of the resources we have are simply by virtue of scale, whereas a lot of clubs are much smaller (most are less than 20 members) and depend on the PNZ office for resources such as printing, forms etc.

The holster course is a charge on the member as not everybody does that.   The cost covers admin and badges.

From our current fees only 31% goes to PNZ.   The current breakdown is $70 to PNZ (inc about $8 GST), we charge $150, or $12.50 per week.   New members pay a one shot $50 fee to cover all the stuff we do in the first 6 months.

It would be good if you got something from PNZ for your $70 like a badge/pin for being member instead they want more for this !
If you can't say it with flowers................... say it with a Glock!

That's what happens when what I wish for overrides reality.

$12.50 per month.

Are you able to store at home and use a semi auto high capacity pistol on a range whenever you like?
Something good is happening for your money.
Try Australia or the UK by comparison.......

What do you think of the upcoming changes within PNZ?

I've done this a thousand time before and no-one's been hurt........much

Being involved in all sorts of shooting, I receive NZ Deer Stalkers magazine and also read online at imas.co.nz

I notice a bit of 'niggle' between Colfo and PNZ (plus NRA starting up etc - whew)

Is there any reason why PNZ is shying away from Colfo?
