Remember shotgun and rifle need to be in the same class as your pistol i.e. All open or all Standard (There is a class called "Tactical" that allows one optic only)
Shotguns = Remington 11-87, Bennelli M?, Fabarm SAT8, Saiga (Open class only) cheap pump guns. Key point - Make sure it has interchangable chokes!
Rifles = Major or Minor power factor - thats the big question?
i.e. Accurate with an AR-15 and shoot only "A's" or a big thumping 308.
For minor AR-15's are popular due to accuracy, ergonomics and hotrod parts avaiable.
Mini14's are cheap and cheerful, and have won Nationally in the past. Some are accurate other aren't so much.
For major power factor H&K G3's or "improved" L1A1's or FN's
If you roughly budget $6 to $8K for standard class stuff.
For open class your wife is going to be quite angry!
