IPSC Section Report for November 2009

Overview

November has been one of the busiest months within the IPSC Section to date. We have had very good attendances on both Wednesday nights and Sunday club days.

There has been a lot of shooting with several members getting in extra practice  :shooting: before they headed away to the IPSC Nationals Champs.

IPSC Team

The IPSC Team continues to meet once a month to discuss and work through what is going to happen within the section for the coming month. It’s all the behind the scenes work of these guy’s that lets us have such successful mini-matches.

On the Saturday before every mini-match you will find these guy’s at the range designing and setting up the matches. If you are interested in helping or just would like to see what happens to get a match organised, feel free to pop out after 1pm on the Saturday prior to a mini-match.

IPSC Section Club Champs

The IPSC Sections Club Championships where held on Sunday 8th November. The match comprised of six pistol stages set up on three ranges.

A special thanks to Gavin for all the effort he put in to get the moving targets on range 7 up and working. From the remarks that I have heard it was a challenging target to shoot.

After the match there was a small prizegiving and BBQ lunch. We again had a very impressive turn out with 28 members of the IPSC Section turning up for the match.

Thanks to the members of the IPSC Team for their tireless work on the setup of the Club Champs. Also a special thanks to some of the newer members of the IPSC section who also helped out with this months setup.

I would especially like to thank Rhonda for all her efforts scoring the match and to Rhonda and Steve for their assistance with the BBQ.
Your continued assistance is much appreciated.  :thankyou:

It was great to see so many competitors and I would like to pass on my congratulations to all who shot the match.  :bravo:
