February Report
Well it’s been a little quiet on the ranges over the holiday period with large numbers away enjoying vacations. Now it’s the drudgery of back to work but thankfully we’ve got lots of interesting events fast approaching for you all.
ISSF Mainland Summer shoot is this weekend 13th & 14th February. This event will include all the usual ISSF competitions plus the Black Powder section. There is even a Cowboys BP cartridge 13 round match and the usual Flintlock, Muzzle loading and revolver matches.
The Cowboy section has been working on a Regional Match in conjunction with the Ashburton guys over 19th to 21st March, to be held at Ashburton.
The IPSC team has been very busy holding a mini-match and two 3 Gun events at Motunau since Christmas. Attendances are up at these events but we’ve always got room for more so come along and have a go. See Aarons report for full details of IPSC happenings.
The next 4 stage mini-match is 21st Feb, closely followed by the IPSC South Islands hosted by the Otago Pistol Club 6th & 7th March. Best you get your entry in ASAP.
Ranges 8 & 9 application has survived peer review and is now going through Police HQ.
