Aaron, Thanks for taking the time.  :goodpost:
I have these documents as well, and even a little recipe card insert that came originally with a Lee re Nobels 60,62,and 64.
But not, of course, Nobels 78. ;e

not too sure on the powder    as long as it's  been stored  well  it should be ok
just looking here
http://www.reloadersnest.com/burnrates.asp
will give you some idea of burn rates    ..

one guy to try that knows a bit about shotguns and loading is Pete  lassen   he may be the best one  to ask  if he dose not know he may  know someone who dose ..

not a lot of info out there  as Nobels   went to Nobelsport   then some links with vectan   but  it also seems  the Nobels 78  and others that come  to OZ and NZ   may have been made in scotland at  one of nobels  fatorys  sold as   Nobels 78  here and  Royal scott in the UK    when that went under  Accurate brought them out  and contracted  them to make powders    ,which in turn is part of westernpowders    .....and the twisted web goes on  ..

thinking about it   track down Pete or another trap shooter  they will help ya out   ..

catch ya

Thanks for that, nothing is ever easy. :goodpost:
The second page of the pdf specifically mentions Nobels 78, but only tells me what bushing to use to get a certain weight of powder. :awcrap:

Pete Lassen, are you out there? ::)

John, loading data is listed using c.a.c white wads,  and cci primers with winchester compression formed cases,I'm sure there will be no problem using win primers and wads, but you may like to load a grain lighter, and check results, for 32grm loads [1-1/8] they list 21grains of 78,
  good shooting, Peter.

He obviously is, many thanks Pete.

that sounds like a thumper of a load  pete     thinking of the burn rate it would be quite snappy   be ok in semi's tho   make them cycle   faster ..

Lucky I am loading for a semiauto!
Perhaps I can ask a "friend"   :ass: with a single shot to try one out?

that would be a fairly standard 32gm load , maybe 1200fps, good fast cleanburning load
