Cable Bay Range faces closure

SAVE CABLE BAY RIFLE RANGE

CABLE BAY SHOOTING ADVENTURES

PLEASE SUPPORT OUR APPEAL TO..........

We are now in the unfortunate position of facing the possibility that we may have to close down this valuable community asset, thanks to a few disgruntled foreign landowners, and their sympathetic friends.

The recently formed “Delaware Bay Residents Association” has launched its own court case to shut us down , or remove us from the valley

completely. They are being represented by Nigel McFadden of  Mc Fadden, Mc Meeken Phillips Lawyers

We have already spent over $60,000 to date , in the fight to keep our range open , but having been quoted in excess of  another $20,000 to  continue our defense we are at risk of going bankrupt , and closure, without further financial assistance.

Please use your name and contact phone number as a reference so that we can issue a certificate of entitlement

Donations can be made to

SAVE CABLE BAY RIFLE RANGE

NAT BANK  NELSON

ACCT NUMBER

06 0705 0411045  00

or by cheque to

Cable Bay Rifle Range

445 Cable Bay Rd

Nelson

We have therefore launched “”The Save Cable Bay Rifle Range” appeal  and are  asking for contributions towards our legal costs.

We provide a valuable safe facility where local groups, schools, police forces , hunters, hundreds of tourists, and  the wider community as a whole, can enjoy the privilege, exhilaration and enjoyment  of shooting.

We are offering an incentive for those willing to support us as follows:

 * For  every $100 donated, the  donor will be granted one year’s free use of the range

 * For  contributions of $1000 or over, the donor will be granted a life time of free use of the range

(*Subject to availability. Current restrictions and booking procedures will also apply)

Additional comment - The National 3 Gun Champs were held on these ranges in 2009.
It's a great shooting spot and we need to band together to support Bruce from this latest attack
Sean.
