Do you need your eyes fixed or a decent pair of glasses? If you want a good Doctor Mark Elder is probably the best around these parts. Not cheap though.

last set i got off peter dick in oamaru  i know a few  have said he's ment to be  one of the better ones  that was when i was smallbore shooting

A good optometrist will make a pair with long focus on your non-dominant eye and short on the dominant one. Target and sights both perfectly in focus.

Jonathan Foate of Visique Foate optometrists is a high-grade smallbore shooter. He certainly understands what's required for rifle shooting and has done lenses for me for rifle and pistol. Recommended.

Foate will work with you to determine what's best for you. Don't think he can supply shooting frames, but you can get Champion, Knoblock, MEC, Varga, and probably others I've forgotten, easily enough. Target Shooting NZ stocks Knobloch.

I was told that Paul Dunlop had retired.

If you are of an age when bifocals or progressive lenses are useful for everyday use, you have my sympathy: they are a disaster for shooting!

There's a lot to be said for contact lenses, unless you're very astigmatic. Use just one - half the price!

Talked to Jonathan  yesterday and booked in  in a few weeks time ..
i only realy found  i had an eye prob from smallbore  shooting  one night the target  went to gray then whited out   could not work it out found out i had a stigma  in right eye  and looking though the back sight  on my 1413    the eye was trying to do things it could not do  ..
distance not a prob  just  getting eye to focus   up close     last glasses i got  ok for reading etc etc but hopeless to walk in made the ground 6 inchs higher  (great  for doing   paddock walks tho had heaps of grass  HAHAHA  )
have a pair of roamer 2  glasses  that i'm hopeing  the lenses can be bent to fit those frames    for shooting and every day use  fishing etc etc    ..
i know  target shooters  pick up on there eye sight   and get something done   but i wonder how many action shooters do any thing about  there eyes /glasses     i know a lot that have to use glasses for reading etc etc   ..
catch ya

Paul Dunlop is still operating in New Regent st, and he is a top man, take your "air pistol" with you and he'll be happy to see you.
