Training with Greg.
« on: 13 May, 2009, 10:06:37 am »
As you are all aware Greg came down this weekend just past and held a very successful Training camp for us.
On Saturday we started in the Air Range as it was somewhat of a fresh crisp morning. He started with us all shooting while he observed and then we had a series of talks and practical help with what ever he decided was most needed for each person.  I find that this 1 on 1 help is invaluable as we all have different bits to work on.
We went to the 25m. Range after lunch - did some  Precision work with a few challenges and competitions - one where we all had to put up $2 each - winner take all - that was me!  Then we went onto  Sport / Rapidfire work - I need this so bad - pleased there wasn't any money involved here - I know if I do as Greg tells me I will improve lots!
Sunday followed the same pattern but with some changes in personal and weather - we couldn't go to the 25m Ranges without freezing and drowning so we stayed in the Air Range - not too warm but at least dry and a lot of fun!
I'm sure that everyone who attended took at least something away with them - I know the Juniors involved left the Range absolutely buzzing so will see how they do on their next training night. The Juniors are from High School Air Pistol Teams who will compete against other High School Teams throughout New Zealand later in the year so we do want them to do well.
Thanks to all of you who attended this weekend - you certainly helped make a great weekend for all of us - for those who missed out - we may see you next year if Greg can make the trip for us again.
My thanks to you all  -  Ruthann :-)

Quote from an attendee
Hi Ruth:
I agree it was a fabulous session!  The shooting was fun, I learned a lot, and you could really see the improvement in the afternoon.
