Please bring a shovel or spade, gloves and a sense of humor. If anyone has a trailer – wheelbarrow they could bring out, this would be very helpful.

Our aim is to:

Cut the tops off the blue plastic barrels and cut the sidewalls out of as many tyres as possible to allow us to create the new bullet catchers that we need to get Ranges 8 & 9 operational.

Remove the prop’s and structures off the CAS Range (Range 5) onto Range 8. This is to allow Range 5 to be worked on for re-certification

A good turn out would be appreciated as you all know the story, many hands make light work.

yea  the cowboys  and girls   do shoot  a western style   multi-gun   six shooters  ,lever action rifle and shot gun    ..
one step up from that  is wild bunch  ..1911  single stack ,lever action  rifle  and 1897 pump action  shot gun     which is shot as a side match   but has also been shot  as a main match in the USA a few months  ago  ..

the IPSC multi gun   ummmm at a bit of a loss on that one  seeing it's a world wide  sport  with rules  etc etc etc    realy it's just a step up from 3 gun if the ranges are certed  for  the use of those firearms ..

for yer last question   it dose lead to an intresting  question realy    the  firearms  used are all on the right lisances  and are approved    also the ranges  they are being used on  would be approved for the use of  those firearms  there is a set of  world  used rules   and it is a world  recognised  sport     so it's kinda ticking alot of boxes    maybe it's  a new section PNZ should be looking in to    and getting it up and going   .. it would depend how PNZ found out   to the amount of  upset

OK, next question, if one were to run a multi-gun event and PNZ found out, would they be upset?

Thanks, yeah I thought about trying both a brake and a suppressor, but if I put a suppressor on I would chop the barrel to keep it short and then it would be too short (legally) with a brake, the suppressor would have to be permanent too.

As for the multi-gun, I was asking to find out if people in other centres actually run these things, and if there were any legal impediments.

The rules allow you up to a 25mm x 75mm muzzle brake or a suppressor of any size as long as it only has one hole on the end, no ports.
Suppressors take lots of recoil & muzzle jump out of the firearm and are sorely tempting but the weight they add to the extreme end of the rifle make them "feel" more cumbersome. Although your rifle is rather short to begin with  
A good muzzle brake is very effective too.
Get both with the same thread and swap between the two to choose - brakes aren't very expensive!

For your other question about multigun events - yes they can be run but aren't "officially" recognised by PNZ.
They end up being very long stages that take ages to reset and stage all the guns - but yes can be loads of fun

If I wanted to improve my .223 for 3-gun, which would you recommend, a brake or a suppressor?
