We have a satellite range on a members farm at Motunau, about 85km north of ChCh. Access is for organised club activities only, and not all vehicles are suitable for getting there. This facility has large pistol ranges, a bush range, a swamp range and two rifle ranges. This facility is primarily used for 3 Gun and Service Rifle events.

To get there take the main North road from Christchurch. Turn right at Greta Valley school. Drive towards Motanau.  Just before Motanau turn left down Happy Valley road. Drive down this road for 8km (it turns to gravel) and you will see a gate on the right opposite a woolshed with a red flag next
to it. Drive through the gate and follow the tire tracks across the paddocks towards the coast. Club house on left, pistol range on right.

3 Gun is our newest discipline involving matches similar to IPSC competition, but using 3 guns.  Pistols as used in ISPC, shotguns and rifles.  The shotguns are often, but not always  semi automatic, and the rifles are almost always semi automatic.  Military style rifles may be advantageous.
